This
is an amazing antique necklace which dates
to the mid Victorian Era. The necklace is
a wonderful piece which is made of a base
metal with a wash of low karat gold which
is commonly called "Garnet Gold".
The
necklace is finer than any we have had the
pleasure of offering in the past. Very ornate
and filled with hundreds of rose cut Bohemian
garnets. Each link of the necklace has a cluster
of garnets with dangling garnet links beneath
each on the base of the neck.
The
center of the necklace is comprised of a star
shape which is highly unusual. The necklace
measures 16 5/8" long with an early push
in clasp. The star measures 1 1/16" wide
by 2" long with dangle.
If
you are a collector of Victorian garnet jewelry,
this is a must have! The condition is VERY
GOOD! There is one small garnet which is missing
in the clasp. Otherwise the piece is perfect!
