Antique Victorian Bohemian Garnet Bracelet
Antique
Garnet encrusted Bangle Bracelet that dates
from the 1880s. There are approximately 200
deep red garnets in this piece. All different
size stones are set in a raised central star
pattern , and the band is completely covered
in garnets.The stones are set in a silver
colored metal. I do not know what type of
metal this is. The bracelet has a clasp and
a gold colored safety chain.
There
is an inscription inside that reads "J.H.
Linde ... 1888". ( shown in photo 11
)
The
inside circumference of the bracelet is 6
1/2" , which will fit a small to medium
wrist. The central star measures about 1 1/4"
across.
I
looked the bracelet over carefully with a
magnifying glass, and I do not see any missing
stones. I do see two stones on the back side
near the hinge that are chipped. This flaw
is hard to notice unless you really look carefully.
Close-up photo # 8 has arrows pointing to
these 2 stones.
The
clasp is in good working order.
